An introductory lesson is a nice and easy way to get introduced to the basics of climbing in the big world of climbing. You will learn about safety as well as about the rules of the game while actually climbing.
It will be an entertaining, exciting and fun experience!
We have offered these introductory lessons for over 25 years! Every week dozens of people of all ages go home with unique experiences and nice stories.
An introductory lesson is best experienced together with others; climbing is done in teams of two or three. Every climber needs a person to belay him or her while climbing up and down. Once the climber is finished s/he will become the belayer.
Belaying is one of the most important climbing skills you will learn. Our trained staff will teach you how to belay you partner safely in this introductory lesson. The instruction takes about half an hour. The instructor will stay with you until you can climb safely, untill the end of your 1 hour. Then you can climb to your heart’s content. The instructor will still keep a watchful eye.
The introductory lesson is a nice way to get a sense of climbing and how it feels to master some routes to the top. If you like climbing we have an interesting offer to continue to the introductory course for beginners. At the end of this course for beginners you’ll receive a belay certificate which allows you to climb in all Dutch climbing halls.
An introductory lesson takes, after the instruction, approximately 1,5 hours. Wear sportswear and sturdy sneakers.
Introductory lessons can be booked directly online in our planner, a conformation will be sent by mail. Of course you can call us as well.
